1978 started out tough – Doug Hayes and the Ski-Doo team really got it all together. But as the season progressed, Polaris picked up steam. The team was preparing to fly to Sweden to help introduce SnoPro to Europe, when the accident in Beasejour put a hold on all further factory racing from Polaris.
