Recently discovered photos from Carl Lillenthal. These are of Pam and Jerry Bunke and a big check that helped them pay for their first house. And there’s one rare shot of Jerry with Jim Beilke.
These were all taken in December of 1976 after Jerry Bunke won the 440X race in Alexandria, just in front of teammates Brad Hulings and Jim Bernat. You can see a tiny bit of Jerry’s mom’s leg in the two photos as well.
Hall of Famer Jim Beilke is the creator of “Race & Rally” magazine, the biggest snowmobile publication of the time, which is now Snowtechmagazine, still the biggest of the snowmobile publications.
