Late 1976 Marketing

I ran across this image on Facebook the other day and noticed some exciting things about it.

It has Jim Bernat’s name and number from 1976 – Bernat’s number “45” is on the tunnel. Bernat is pictured wearing his 1975, vs. his 1976 helmet.

Also, the design on the hood makes me think this was an early rendition of what would be the new 1977 race sleds. Then I remembered I had seen that design before.

This photo is one of the early design prototypes of the 1977 SnoPro hood. The question is, did this design of the hood come first? Or was the hood put together from the marketing drawing?
