Snoweek December of 1976: A Warning From Roseau

At the first SnoPro race of the year, it wasn’t clear that Polaris would emerge as the dominant force in racing for the year; most thought they just got lucky and that the weather effected the other teams. A snowstorm on Sunday stopped the raced until Monday, so few people came back to watch Bunke and Hulings trounce the others.

After Ironwood, the press was mildly reporting that the team from Roseau issued a “warning”.

It would be the next race in Alexandria, Minnesota when the Midnight Blue Express would be recognized and the press could no longer just call it warning.. it was total domination.
