Jim grew up on a dairy farm. He enjoyed the rural life and developed a lifelong love of hunting, fishing, and “tinkering”. He graduated from Roseau High School in 1965. Jim and Beverly Norquist were married on December 21, 1968. Jim was employed by two snowmobile companies – Brutanza Engineering of Brooten, MN and Polaris Industries of Roseau, MN. Jim started his own business in 1996 with a multi-station press which he built himself. It was for rebuilding crankshafts for snowmobiles and watercraft. Jim could build and fix absolutely anything!
