The Midnight Blue Express found out at the beginning of the 1978 season that the others guys had caught up. Ski-Doo and Arctic Cat were back. But as the1977-1978 season went on, the Midnight Blue Express came roaring back, Brad Hulings started winning every cup in site.
As the season came to and end, Brad Hulings was well on his way to becoming the #1 driver in SnoPro. But Hulings had to miss the last few races, and Bob Elsner was right there with this Cat to take up the slack, becoming the #1 driver headed into 1979.
Hulings would start 1979 on his new Scorpions maintaining his #3.
