1978 Racers Identified

Left to Right – Todd Elmer, T.J. Patrick, Roxanne Stienke and Illinois native Lee “Leo” Hausken in a 340 Superstock heat race.

Shot in December of 1977, at one of the first races in the 1978 season in Kinross, Michigan.

The Kinross race was the first time many drivers got on a new IFS sled and It didn’t go real well, as a lot of them wound up in the bails.

Elmer, Patrick., Stienke and Hausken were among those who kept theirs shiny side up all weekend.

This race was the start of a season of tough battles in the 340 Superstock class, where there was more entries than almost any other class.
